Fight Night Round 4 Predicts Winner of This Weekend's Bout
Save Yourself Fifty Bucks on the Pay-Per-View

In case you haven't heard, there's a big boxing match in Las Vegas this weekend. IBO junior welterweight champion Ricky "The Hitman" Hatton will square off against number one contender Manny "Pac-Man" Pacquiao. It is one of the most anticipated fights in ages, with almost every expert agreeing that the combination of Hatton's stiff left jab and Pacquiao's flowing combinations will make for a battle for the ages. Oddsmakers and boxing enthusiasts all over the world are looking for any scrap of information to tell them where the smart money is on this fight. The gang over at EA Sports is one step ahead of them, and have once again used the simulation powers of their game to predict a winner.
Much like they've done with the past few Super Bowls, and much like they've done with this year's Stanley Cup, EA Sports has used the upcoming boxing sim Fight Night Round 4 to predict the winner of the match. Their result: Pacquiao will defeat Hatton in the 11th round by technical knockout. This result falls in line with the oddsmakers' predictions, as Pacquiao now stands as a 7-4 favorite.
It should be interesting to see how close EA gets with this prediction. Their games have been correct five out of six times on Super Bowl predictions, and so far, the teams they picked to win the Stanley Cup are still in the running for that title. If Fight Night is able to accurately predict boxing matches, I predict Pay-Per-View revenues could dip. Why pay $50 to watch a fight when you can spend just a little more to actually take part in it.
Here's a video showing the highlights of the fight. Did I just save anyone half a cee note?

oh boxing... if only you were less boring, then maybe I would get into this more... you know, maybe if there was just one federation.... but until that day, make mine mma.
So excited. I never plaed Round 3, but I was obsessed with Round 2 on the original Xbox. Tightest boxing game EVER.
I felt the same about boxing a few years ago but...I'm more than likely going somewhere to watch this fight.
