The Wii has developed a reputation as a kiddie-centric, or family-friendly system. And in all honesty, it is a reputation that Nintendo has deserved (and is most likely proud of...) With only a couple of exceptions, the games that have made their way to the Wii are innocuous enough for a three-year old. Electronic Arts is jumping on that dogpile with their latest entry in the Wii lineup, the upcoming Playground. The game looks like what would happen if the cast of the Bratz cartoons crashed one of Mario's Parties. “Young, old, male or female -- EA Playground has something for everyone,” said Executive producer Dave McCarthy. “EA Playground transports you to your fantasy playground, packed with interesting characters, over-the top gameplay, and a ton of collectables. Kids can bring the excitement of the playground home, and parents or even grandparents can re-experience their childhood thrills.” Look for Playground in stores October 22nd.
