Fox News Wonders if NBA Jam is Fair and Balanced
At Least They're Not Blaming It for Murders (Yet . . .)
by Sean

Although most people would agree that Fox News is, at best, a right-slanted television network with a pro-business, pro-GOP agenda, it's also hands-down the most popular television news outlet. Almost every show on the News Corp. owned echo chamber consistently garners better ratings than CNN, MSNBC and CNBC's offerings in the same time slots. Yesterday, the network had on EA Sports head honcho Peter Moore to talk about the new NBA Jam. Although the segment was little more than a chance for Moore to plug the Wii game to a huge audience that probably isn't frequenting gaming sites, leave it to Fox's newsreaders to make a cartoony video game into political theater.
As we pointed out on Tuesday, in keeping with the tradition of the franchise, Jam in 2010 includes current political figures on Democratic and Republican teams. This, of course, means that the current president of the US (and Fox News whipping boy) Barack Obama is a playable character.
During the course of the interview, Fox's Jenna Lee gets right to the heart of the matter, exposing EA for the Commie liberal pinko outfit it truly is:
Lee: "Is this a bipartisan game? I read the president has some special skills. Do any of the Republicans have special skills?"
Moore, being the consumate professional, opts to answer the question directly rather than call Lee out for being the fluff "journalist" she is:
Moore: "The president, who as you know is a pretty good hoops player himself, we tried to represent his skills there."
Leave it to Fox to attempt to create a controversy where one needn't exist. I guess it could be worse; there could be a game on the way that allows you to kill American troops in real life battles from Afghanistan. Fox will would have a field day with that.
