Games on Demand Update - 10.13.09
Take Me Down to the Liberty City, Where the Grass is Green...
by Sean

As promised last week, Microsoft is starting to roll out the AAA titles in the On Demand section of Xbox Live, and today have added Grand Theft Auto IV. For $29.99 you can download 2008's Game of the Year, provided you have 7GB. Odds are if you were interested in GTA IV, you've probably played it by now, and your $30 would be better spent on any number of things, but it's up now, so I felt compelled to tell you about it. Of course since this is the On Demand update, there's a regional lock-out, and this week's belongs to Japan. Sorry Japan, no Nico for you.

What does the American Dream mean today? For Niko Bellic, fresh off the boat from Europe, it is the hope he can escape his past. For his cousin, Roman, it is the vision that together they can find fortune in Liberty City, gateway to the land of opportunity. As they slip into debt and are dragged into a criminal underworld by a series of shysters, thieves and sociopaths, they discover that the reality is very different from the dream in a city that worships money and status, and is heaven for those who have them and a living nightmare for those who don’t. There are no refunds for this item. For more information, see www.xbox.com/live/accounts.
