Games on Demand Update - 12.08.09
Three Games, Sort Of...
by Sean

This week Microsoft brings a total of three games to the On Demand service, but only one of them is going to be available in the United States. That game, if you're interested, is the movie tie-in title Bolt, based on the Disney animated film. Of course, it seems to me that the audience for this game (read: younger children) are the kind of demographic that a) should be waiting for the holidays to get a new game and b) would rather that holiday gift be in a wrapped box, as opposed to a digitally distributed game. Oh well, what do I know? The other two games, for those areas lucky enough to find themselves winners of the regional lockout lottery, are Trivial Pursuit (available in most of Europe, Austraila and New Zealand) and FaceBreaker (which is available only in Canada and Australia). Granted, as anyone who has actually played FaceBreaker can tell you, North America is probably better off without it.

The Trivial Pursuit video game from EA builds on the original gameplay with stunning visual presentation, new question types and all-new questions, and the innovative Facts & Friends game mode. The quick-playing Facts & Friends mode adds a whole new social dynamic to the game that keeps everyone involved by challenging players to guess whether their opponents will answer their questions correctly.
