In an interview with
CNET, Red Octane's cofounder Charles Huang said that the Nintendo DS version of the up-coming
Guitar Hero III may feature a guitar controller. He said that the possibility of a life-sized guitar peripheral is intriguing, stating "we would like to keep it within the experience as long as it makes sense and it plays well."
He acknowledges that most DS games are played in a space that isn't exactly conducive to holding a full sized guitar. He goes on to mention something that I never thought the people behind
Guitar Hero ever thought about: affordability, saying, "It needs to be affordable and it needs to fit within the environment that people normally play DS games in, but central to it all, we are exploring ways to get peripherals on a DS game."
It has been no small secret that we here at Gamervision are completely gaga over anything with the Guitar Hero name attached to it, but I am not sure I want to be sitting on a train jamming out with a full sized guitar controller. Not really my style...
