Chances are you already knew that Ubisoft's big holiday title, Assassin's Creed II, came out today. There's also a pretty good chance that you've already made up your mind about whether or not you're going to buy the game. However, just in case either of these two things come as news to you, Ubi has graciously dropped a launch trailer for the game onto our laps and monitors. In it, we see the expected mix of Ezio, the citizenry of Venice, and a healthy dose of action.

Watch and be amazed:

The thing that sticks out most to me from all of the videos I've seen for ACII, including this one, is the attention to detail. While the first game had huge cities that Altair could explore at his leisure, there was a noticeable lack of polish on most of the enviornments. Meanwhile, the sequel appears to have a level of refinement that makes every texture, character, and building seem closer to real, bordering on photo-realistic. Seriously, if this game wasn't already on your radar, and watching this video didn't get you totally psyched to play it, you may have to face the fact that there's something wrong with you.
