Guerrilla Games is celebrating the release of Killzone 2's third DLC pack, "Napalm and Cordite" by giving players the chance to earn double experience points all weekend long. Beginning Friday at 17:30 GMT (12:30 EST) and running until Monday morning, gamers who log-in to an online game will earn twice as much XP as normal, allowing for faster leveling, more badges being unlocked, and quicker ascent of the Leaderboard.

To be precise, a win will earn players a 2.5 multiplier, and losing a match will earn the same multiplier normally reserved for a win: 1.5. Bear in mind, the doubling only applies to individual points, but not to Clan Valor. Still, this is the kind of impetus I've been looking for to pop this gorgeous looking shooter back into my PS3.

So if you're not in San Diego this weekend, and you're a fan of earning more rewards than you technically deserve, it's time to head back to Helghan.
