Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues Trailer
This All Looks Very Familiar to Me
by Sean

Admit it: you love those little Lego guys. You love their cute little faces, you love their tiny little bodies, and, most of all, you love when Traveller's Tales takes them and puts them into a story that you already know. So it was with the original Lego Indiana Jones, which told the stories of the only three Indiana Jones films that actually meant anything. Sometimes, though, there are things that are simply better left alone. For example, the upcoming Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues. In it, Traveller's Tales is going to somehow incorporate all four Indiana Jones movies, and I'm left scratching my head as to why. First of all, The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull never needs to be seen by anyone, in any medium, ever again. To make that piece of dog-shit into game levels is a waste of time, and a travesty against humanity. But putting that aside, didn't the first game already do a pretty good job of telling the story of the first three films? How much more nuance can the Legos put on this franchise?
A new trailer for the game sequel doesn't help clear up the confusion one little bit. In it, we see a montage of scenes from the game and the movie, showing Indy and Marion at Marion's Nepalese bar, fighting to keep the headpiece out of the evil Toht's hands. All of this is well and good, except that, if you played the first game, you'll remember that this is a scene you've already played through. So once again I have to ask: why?
I guess we should all count ourselves lucky that we didn't have to sit through a Lego-ized Shia LeBoeuf swinging through the jungle chased by monkeys with pompadours.

Alright, that's kind of an awesome trailer. Also, I think they should tie in Crystal Skull. No matter how lame it was, it would be fun to play the action segments.
For me the main draw is building your own levels. That shit is awesome.
Little kids love Crystal Skull. They should just put it in. Maybe swinging from vines will be cute with Lego dudes?
i DO love anything lego, but i was highly disappointed with the first lego indy game. it just didn't live up to the standards set by lego star wars.
I can see the title of Sean's review of this game on the front page now (If Sean reviews it):
Lego Indiana Jones 2: Nuking the Fridge.
Feel free to use that.
@Mikhailov: noted, and stolen.
