LittleBig Contra Now a Playable Reality
NeoGAF Collaboration Produces Awesome Results
by Sean
The above video is of a project started over at NeoGAF to attempt to recreate Contra, Konami's classic side-scrolling shooter, in LittleBigPlanet, Media Molecule's adorable side-scrolling workshop. Called "LittleBig Contra", the eight playable levels are now uploaded and completely playable.
As you can see from the video, the attention to detail that the seven level creators put into this enterprise is nothing short of amazing. Everything from Contra is meticulously recreated - from the enemies, to the weaponry, to each and every boss battle - it would appear as though nothing was left out. And as anyone who has ever tried to build a level in LittleBigPlanet can tell you, it was no small feat to have made these areas.
Although my plan had been to go home after work to play Killzone 2 for the next 48-72 hours, I may have to pop LBP back into the PS3 for a bit. This just looks like too much fun to pass up.
