Lost Planet 2 Co-op Demo Coming to PSN
Better Late Than Never, Right?
by Sean

The co-op demo for Lost Planet 2 that 360 owners have been enjoying for almost a month has finally been dated for the PlayStation Network. Beginning on September 24th, the same day as the kick-off of this year's Tokyo Game Show, PS3 owners will be able to download the multiplayer demo.
The demo will have players fighting against varying sizes of Akrid, in a struggle to collect the thermal energy the Akrids have inside of them. That energy can either be used to heal individual players, co-op partners, or to power the armored Vital Suits. Teams of four players can now team up on the PSN to bring down the giant bugs.
This staggered release schedule for the demo should have been expected, since the first Lost Planet: Extreme Condition was a 360 exclusive for over a year before finally making its way to the PS3. As of right now, the PS3 and 360 versions of LP2 are scheduled for a simultaneous release, although the exact date is not yet confirmed. But at least now everyone can enjoy the same demo!
