Microsoft: 250GB HDD Will Not Be Sold Separately
You Want It, Buy the Bundle
by Sean

Earlier today Microsoft announced a limited edition Modern Warfare 2 bundle, which would ship with a 360, a copy of the game, two wireless controllers, and a 250GB HDD. This marked the first time that a hard drive of that size has been made available for MS's system. And it got people wondering if this would mean that, at some point in the not too distant future, there would be a separate SKU for the 250. Well, Microsoft wasted no time in squashing that dream.
In an interview with Kotaku, Xbox Live president Larry Hryb made it clear that the 250GB HDD would only be available as part of the limited edition bundle, saying, "This hard drive is not being sold separately."
This shouldn't come as a such a shock to people, since the 120GB currently sells for $150, meaning that a drive twice the size would, well, cost twice as much. And although Microsoft is saying today, in the wake of the announcement of a special edition, that the HDD won't be sold alone, that doesn't necessarily mean that it never will. Lest we forget, almost every predicted console price drop was originally denied by the company. So I guess, once again, we wait and see.

They have to sell this separately eventually. Between XBLA games, optional installs, and Games on Demand, 120gb won't cut it for much longer.
OR! you can go out and buy an external HDD and format it to FAT32 and plug it in to you 360. Your 360 then becomes retarded and thinks you have a 320GB, 500GB, or even 1TB HDD connected. Granted the only way you can save and retrieve stuff from it is be going in to the memory settings and switching it over before or after your done playing the game that requires the saved data, it's still a lot easier then going out and buying a 2nd console that you already own.
:D looks like I'll be working at Best Buy for another Christmas season if I want to be able to afford this!!
