Mortal Kombat Reboot to Get Console Exclusive Characters?
According to Some Reports, YES!

Although a handful of characters have been confirmed for the upcoming Mortal Kombat, developer NetherRealm Studios has yet to announce a full list of fighters. In October, series creator Ed Boon did state that the final count would be "somewhere in the 20s", but that's about as close as we've gotten to a hard number. While fans eagerly await an official roster, rumors are starting to swirl that the new game will feature at least one classic character, although not one known as a Mortal Kombat fighter.
The reports claim that the latest issue of the Official Playstation Magazine will announce that Kratos, he of the God of War fame, will be a playable character in MK. Apparently he will only be available to fight in regular matches, and will not be included in the game's story mode. Of course he will be bringing to the table his own slate of moves and, of course, a fatality.
Again, this is still in the unconfirmed rumor department, but with the January issue of OPM hitting newsstands later this week, we don't have to long to wait for authentication. If this proves to be a true story, it makes one wonder whether or not the 360 will also get its own exclusive character. As Luke Plunkett over at Kotaku pointed out, many people will lean towards the inclusion of Master Chief, but that Marcus Fenix is a more natural fit.
