Were you one of the lucky legion to get in on the multiplayer beta for the best console game to come out of E3, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves? Naughty Dog was cool enough to hook Gamervision up with just shy of a hundred codes to give away for the now closed multiplayer event, but don't fret too much if you missed out, because it looks like you're going to get a second chance.

During a live chat yesterday on the PlayStation blog, the game's developer confirmed that there is going to be a second multiplayer beta before the game ships. And even better is the promise that the beta will be "available to an even wider group this time". That sounds to me like a wider group than just those who pre-order a game or get their hands on a giveaway code.

No date was given for the next beta, but there was the vague mention of sometime closer to the game's November release date. While it may go without saying that the next beta will be coming before the game ships, unless Naughty Dog has invented a time machine, it's still nice to know that there's going to be another opportunity for gamers to get their hands on this amazing game sooner rather than later.
