A pair of Punch-Out!! commercials showed up over the weekend featuring a live action Little Mac training in a real-life Doc's gym, in preparation for his upcoming rematch with, among others, the one and only King Hippo. Take a look:

The actor who is playing Doc to almost Oscar-calibre perfection should be familiar to fans of HBO's crime drama The Wire. That's Isiah Whitlock Jr., who played State Senator Clay Davis, best known for his catchphrase, "Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!" He even manages to get a solid "Float like a fly" in there.

The second spot, which is just Doc all by his lonesome, introduces some of the controls for the upcoming fight-fest. Not as funny as the earlier one, it's still worth checking out:
