New Trailer for Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings
More Like Indiana Jones and the Waggle of Waggle
by Sean
A new trailer is out for the Wii version of Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings. While it does feature some very impressive looking cinematic footage, most of the best parts you've already seen before, since they're taken from the first three Indiana Jones films. The gameplay footage, while not quite as impressive, does feature a healthy dose of waggle.
Opting to not just show the gameplay footage, LucasArts has decided with this trailer to show off people actually playing Staff of Kings. We can see that certain missions, if not the whole game, will feature co-op play (as evidenced in the rafting sequence). LucasArts also seems very proud of the "hot set", which are essentially destructible background elements that you can use to help you along in your missions. However, it doesn't take a really careful examination to see that most of these gameplay elements consist of a lot of flailing and gyrating.
Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings hits store shelves on June 6th. Anyone excited by what they've seen?

Doesn't look too bad, actually.
Don't forget, the Wii version has Fate of Atlantis unlockable. That has to count for something.
This game looks great.
I am so glad it is not another lego game
The wii is under the illusion that I want to do the stuff that Indiana Jones does. That I want to be active and participate in the game. Maybe I want to be Indy, but I certainly don't want to act like him. Punchin people, burnin snakes, runnin from boulders. That shit looks tiring! Don't make me do all that! I just wanted to play a damn video game, not paddle for my life...
When I first thought about the Wii the first thought I had would be "this would be awesome for whips in an Indy game or Castlevania." Of course I later learned the wiimote wouldn't be nearly as precise as I'd imagined, but I hope this turns out well.
Fly, yes!... Land, no!
