Yesterday we told you that a forum post on NeoGaf revealed that Nintendo had patented a pedometer, but that no one knew exactly what game or platform it would be implemented on. Well that is a mystery that didn't take too long to get to the bottom of. A promotional video posted today revealed that it will in fact be used in conjunction with an unnamed (or at least un-translated from Japanese) DS title.

If you watch the video closely you will see these two images:

Mystery solved! That pedometer is clearly going into the back of that DS for some sort of step-counting function. It couldn't be clearer.

And if you look a little bit closer at the screen, you can see that this game and peripheral will be hitting store shelves on November 11th. Here's a zoom-in in case you missed it:

Chances are this is just a Japanese release date, but stay tuned as we get to the final solution of this Gordian Knot of a head-scratcher.
