Nintendo Reveals Release Date for Sin and Punishment: Star Successor
AKA D-Day +1
by Sean

UPDATE: Nintendo just sent out a press release with the following expanded information on the game:
"Sin and Punishment: Star Successor, the breakthrough shooter game for Wii from legendary developer Treasure, will launch across North America on June 7. The game features nonstop action with two playable characters and international online leaderboards to track high scores. Using the Wii Remote pointer functionality, the game offers unprecedented precision in the shooter genre."
Nintendo's San Francisco presser just keeps on dropping the release dates onto our laps. The newest revealed date is for the latest sequel to the critically acclaimed Sin and Punishment series. Entitled Sin and Punishment: Star Successor, the game will be coming exclusively to the Wii beginning on June 7th of this year. As with most of the other news that is coming out of San Fran, there isn't much more new information at this point beyond the release date.
Sequel to the 2000 Japanese N64 game, which was brought to the Virtual Console in 2007, Star Successor will feature protagonists Isa and Kach in an on-rails shooter as they attempt to avoid being hunted in a post-apocolyptic world. Hopefully more concrete details will be coming out of the City by the Bay as the day progresses, so stay tuned. It looks like Nintendo is going to have a busy year.
