Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising hits store shelves today, and to help make the world ready, Codemasters has unveiled the game's final video, the launch trailer. In it we see all the expected highlights of an FPS trailer: ominous music, lots of shots taken through rifle sights, and imagery that doesn't stay on-screen for very long. The trailer also boasts about the game's huge open world, encompassing a total of 220km² (almost 140miles²).

With the busy season just about to gear up, Codemasters may have its work cut out for them trying to find an audience for Dragon Rising. Sure, the next big shooter doesn't hit until 10.21.09 (maybe you've heard of a little game called Borderlands?), and then of course 11.10.09 brings with it Modern Warfare 2. It seems like the only people who may buy this game are hardcore shooter fans who just can't wait a few weeks. Does that include you?
