Play God of War III During SDCC
And, Yeah, They're Bringing the Comic Book Too
by Sean

San Diego Comic Con has officially opened its doors to the world, and as if waiting for the last possible minute, Sony has let loose the details for what conventioneers can expect to see from God of War III. First, let's get it out of the way, yes, the comic book is there. Marv Wolfman, the recently announced writer of a six issue God of War comic arc, will be on-hand Thursday, Friday and Saturday to sign autographs. There will also be a giveaway of a double-sided poster featuring art from the comic, autographed by Wolfman and cover artist Andy Park. But more importantly, God of War III will be playable on the Con show floor.
The same code of GoWIII that Sony brought to the industry-only E3 will be available to the general public for the duration of the show. If you're lucky enough to be at the con, make sure to get to theSony booth early, as there is little doubt that people will be lining up to get into the line to start waiting to play God of War III. It's just that awesome of a prospect.
The announcement also goes on to mention a pretty sweet looking knife, created by United Cutlery, modeled off of Kratos' Blades of Chaos. Measuring almost two feet, of which more than half is the blade, it looks ready to smite gods. Or maybe just cut off fingers. It won't be on the show floor, but you can pre-order this $125 blade here.
