PS3 Unreal Tournament III Getting a Ton of DLC
Free Titan Pack Coming Tonight
by Sean

Epic Games has let the world know that their multiplayer FPS extravaganza, Unreal Tournament III, will be adding a new package of downloadable content beginning tonight. Called the "Titan Pack", the DLC is coming exclusively to the PlayStation 3. It will add two new game modes, new weapons, new maps, a new vehicle, and basically just a whole slew of fresh content. The best part is, it's absolutely free!
UTIII's lead designer, Steve Polge, describes Greed, one of the new game modes, as, "a fast-paced, 'tug of war' style mode in which you swipe the skulls of fallen players and unload them at the enemy base to score points..." This description alone should give any UTIII player all the motiviation needed to pop the game in and get the DLC.
When asked why the Titan Pack wouldn't be coming to the Xbox 360, a Midway spokesman told TeamXbox:
"There are some file size limitations with Xbox 360 that prevent us from releasing it. In addition there are some features of the Titan Pack that 360 already has, like split screen support, and some of the maps that will now be available for PC, Steam and PS3 gamers. Other features, like the integrated mod browser, Xbox 360 doesn’t support. You know Midway and certainly Epic are big supporters of the 360, but there are some pretty big hurdles and redundant features that prevent making the Titan Pack available for the Xbox 360."
The Titan Pack will be added tonight with the PlayStation Store update. Anyone going in for it?
