This is just a friendly message from me to you to let you know that the demo for the upcoming air combat sequel, Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. 2, is now available for download on the Xbox Live Arcade (it will arrive on the PSN tomorrow with the Store update). The demo lays out two single-player missions, showing off both sides of the story as a US and a Russian Special Forces unit headed for a specific target. The first mission, called Interception, has you intercepting (natch) a group of stolen aircraft while flying for the Russian special forces. The second unlocked mission, called Seek and Destroy, has you flying night bombing raids near Africa.

Although I've had the game pre-ordered almost since the day it was announced, I'm still really excited to get my hands on the new jets, and check out the new missions. A good pusher knows that the best way to get people hooked on something is to give them their first taste for free, and that's exactly what Ubisoft is doing with the demo. Now you've got something like close to a month to see if the changes and improvements made for H.A.W.X. 2 are worth your while. Unless you're an air combat addict like me, then it's just a matter of seeking the next high. Pun definitely intended.
