Red Dead Redemption Starts a Revolution
¡Viva la Revolución!
by Sean

If your head is still throbbing and the thought of ever having the taste of tequila in your mouth again makes you want to vomit, you may still be recovering from Wednesday night's Cinco de Mayo festivities. Although that holiday has turned into an excuse to get sloppy drunk, it actually commemorates a battle won by Mexican troops against a vastly superior French army in 1862. In other words, it's a celebration of a gunfight in the old west. Although the plot of Red Dead Redemption doesn't actually mirror any real historical events, with the high quality of the voice acting and action sequences in the game's newest trailer, it's easy to imagine that you could be watching a scene from a History Channel reenactment.
Okay, so maybe those scenes aren't exactly documentary-style, but they still look pretty incredible. This marks the first time we've seen RDR gameplay married to story-driven footage without the raspy-voiced narration. It looks like as we're getting closer to the game's release date, Rockstar is allowing the game to speak for itself. The 18th is less than two weeks away at this point, so we won't have to wait much longer before we can start a revolution of our own.
