This is just a friendly reminder for those of you out there who love free stuff that a pair of demos have hit the Xbox Live Arcade today. One of the demos is for an upcoming game based on an upcoming movie. The other is for a game that has been out since February, based on a character that has been around for nearly twenty years.

First up is, well, UP. Disney Pixar Studios has a long track record of making some of the best animated movies of their time, and, naturally, there's usually a game tied into a film's release. This summer, the movie is UP, and today the game's demo is available on Xbox Live. You'll play as Carl Fredricksen and his young sidekick, Wilderness Explorer Russell, as they set off on a wild journey through the undiscovered jungles of South America. 

Next on the docket is a demo for Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection. The game, which has been available since Februray, features over 45 of the best know and best loved games from the Sega Genesis on one disc. No word on what specific games are on the demo, but hey, it's free.
