This is a friendly public service announcement from me to remind you that the demo for Visceral's survival horror sequel Dead Space 2 is now available for Xbox Live, and will be added to the PlayStation Network later tonight when the Store updates. That's right ladies and gentlemen, you can finally get your first taste of the world where the sequel is set, the Sprawl, which is purportedly much larger and less linear than the setting of the first game, the USG Ishimura.

The demo takes place in a temple of Unitology, a supposedly "safe" haven where Isaac Clarke will face off against those irascible Necromorphs. This marks your first opportunity to try out the upgraded stasis and telekinesis abilities, as well as a brand new weapon, the Javelin gun. You'll also get a chance to test Clarke's new suit, equipped with jets that will give a full 360 degrees. At just under a GB and a quarter (for the XBL version), how can you pass it up?
