Resident Evil 5 Box Art Revealed
Also North American Demo Given Vague Date
by Sean
Capcom unveiled the artwork that will be gracing the cover of the upcoming survival-horror sequel Resident Evil 5. Not surprisingly, the words "Resident" and "Evil" appear, along with the number "5". Also, the 360 version seems to have some 360-inspired wording, while the PS3's says something about Sony. Also, if you look closely you may notice that there appears to be the shape of one of our seven continents in the background. Ten points to anyone who can name that continent, a hundred points if you can predict the first well-known person to have a problem with it.
Anyway, take a look:

Normally, the unveiling of box art isn't exactly newsworthy, but there is more to this one. During an MTV multiplayer event in San Francisco last night, Capcom let it be known that the North American demo would be available sometime in "early 2009". Apparently there are some unspecified complications that prevent the game from hitting our shores. Of course Japan has already had their taste of the demo (as has anyone with a second Japanese XBL account), so they're good. We'll let you know when the date gets finalized.

Haven't got a chance to play the demo. (Sadly, the computer I'm on has no CD burner.) But the cover art looks pretty sweet.
