Action RPG fans rejoice! Risen, a new IP from Sacred 2 publisher Deep Silver, has hit store shelves this week. To help commemorate this momentous occassion, the company has released the following launch trailer. In the video, we see our protagonist become shipwrecked on an island filled with mythical monsters, scary bad guys with red light-up eyepatches, and a host of other magical goings-on.

Take a look:

Interestingly enough, Risen released this week in just about every market with the notable exception of (drumroll please) Australia. Yep, turns out this game, much like Left 4 Dead 2, was refused classification due to "sexual activity and drug use related to incentives or rewards". Honestly, I feel like statements like that are some of the best advertising a game can get. What's more appealing to horny gamers than finding out a title has been banned for being too sexual?

Risen will be coming to Xbox 360 at some still-unannounced time in 2010.
