Second Aliens vs. Predator Trailer Doesn't Shed Much Light
Prefers to Embrace the Shadows
by Sean

Sega's Aliens vs. Predator hasn't actually been in development forever, it only seems that way. Maybe it's because the first teaser trailer for the game was released all the way back in July, and since then, outside of the coverage the game received on the E3 showfloor, we haven't heard much in the way of new information. Or maybe it's because people tend to confuse this game with Sega's other long-delayed Alien-licensed game, Colonial Marines. Either way, we haven't heard a whole lot about the game that's going to give players the chance to play as the three main races of the AvP universe; the Alien, the Predator, and the human marines. Then today, out of nowhere, Sega drops a new trailer for the game on us, reminding all of us of its existence.
Honestly, there's not much in that video that gives a ton of new info onto what can be expected from the game. Sure, we see the face-hugger emerge from its coccoon, and we hear the heavy-breathing marines blast away at the invading monsters, but honestly, it's nothing we haven't seen before. It's not made clear whether or not we're seeing in-game or even in-engine footage, so this really could be nothing more than just a collection of cut-scenes. Most retailers are still listing a February release date for the game, so we'll just have to see.

This video leads me to believe that you play as the Xenomorphs. But that's probably not the case...
