Skate 2 Gets DLC Pack

Explore the Wonder that is Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Plaza

by Sean

EA has announced that Skate 2, the wildly popular sequel to the wildly popular (and predictably named) Skate, will be getting its first round of DLC today. The download will add a new skateable area to the game, called "Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Plaza", which will be an exact recreation of an area of the same name from the upcoming MTV show called (wait for it...) Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Plaza, along with some of the surrounding Los Angeles neighborhood.

In a press release, Rob Dyrdek was predictably excited by the news, "I’ve been involved with the Skate franchise since the very beginning and each game has been able to perfectly capture the culture and feel of skateboarding. . . [T]here’s still a lot more surprises outside the park that both gamers and skaters will enjoy.”

If you're a PlayStation 3 player, the new area will set you back a reasonable $5.00. If you're all about the 360 version, you can expect to pay 400. Anyone out there gonna get it?

I'm more likely to get the "unlock everything" DLC.
