Sony Drops the Price on PSP Go
Prediction: You Probably Still Won't Buy One
by Sean

Amid persistent rumors about the possibility of Sony developing a PSP 2, the company has annoucned that it is lowering the price for the less-than-popular PSP Go across the board. Beginning tomorrow, the UMD-less device, which now sells for $249, will drop to $199. Japanese gamers get an even larger reduction in price, going from ¥26,800 ($208) to ¥16,800 ($332), and in the UK the price will drop to £159.99, from the current price of £225.
Clearly Sony is hoping to capitalize on the impending holiday season to move what must be a rather substantial number of unshipped units. Since the Go's release, it has been plagued with negative reception and poor sales, due mostly to the fact that it lacks the UMD drive, especially since the PSP 3000 has historically sold for less. I'm not sure how many more people are going to get one because of a fifty dollar price difference, as the other issues with the platform are still existent

I still have one.
I still bought it day one.
I still never play it....although with the exception of Birth by Sleep I love the games I have on it finally.
@Mikhailov - What's your primary reason for not playing it anymore?
I don't know really. I love the games I have on it now that Phantasy Star Portable 2 is out. I think I just am playing different games now and don't have the time.
I had the chance when I went to NYCC, but I played Heart Gold instead.
