Sony Thinks Ghost of Sparta is the Best Looking PSP Game Ever

One Might Argue a Bias on Sony's Part. . .

There is some debate about which PSP game packs the biggest graphical punch. Many people come down on the side of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, while there is an equally large camp on the other side that thinks God of War: Chains of Olympus is the height of presentation. But there might soon be another hat thrown into the ring, with developer Ready at Dawn's God of War: Ghost of Sparta. In an recent interview with IndustryGamers, Sony Worldwide Studios VP Scott Rohde spoke very highly of the upcoming prequel featuring everyone's favorite poster-boy for anger management.

As good as Chains of Olympus looked, Rohde believes that Ghost of Sparta will blow it out of the Aegean Sea, saying:

"[It's] a really amazing looking game. I think that this late in the PSP cycle, you're seeing the best-looking PSP game that’s been created. I think it really looks great. And I think that you still can’t have that kind of epic home console experience, you know, necessarily, on the competition that you can have on the PSP with these big games like God of War: Ghost of Sparta. I don’t usually tout a single title, and say 'It’s the best ever…' but this really looks good."

Wow, the "best ever"? That ought to raise the hackles on a few fanboys out there. Also, if Ghost of Sparta is ulitmately underwhelming, it's the kind of statement that could come back to bite a fellow in the ass. Although, since God of War is arguably the consistently best IP Sony publishes, it's not exactly a risky thing to say. I, for one, am hoping Rohde knows what he is talking about.
