Star Wars Bounty Hunter
Jango Fett. We all met him in Episode II. We saw that he was, well, a bad-ass. On Kamino, he showed Obi-Wan what-for before he had to jump in the Slave I and high-tail it out of there. Then, next thing we know Jedi Master Snakes-on-a-Plane is cutting his head off in the middle of a giant Raid commercial as little Boba looks on as if to say, "Why papa?! Why couldn't we be in Revenge of the Sith?" So, those of us who give a damn wonder: who is Jango Fett? Where'd he get that awesome ship? How was he selected to be the template for each and every clone in the clone army? Well, the answers to these questions lie in Star Wars Bounty Hunter, and finding them out is some of the most fun you'll have with a game.
You start off with only a pair of blasters, a scanning visor, and your wits. As Jango Fett you must fight your way across dozens of levels on worlds that are instantly recognizable to any Star Wars fan. Along the way, you are given objectives to complete along with the option of chasing secondary bounties for additional Republic credits. As you make your way you'll acquire weapons, a fancy new jet-pack and a lot of back story.
Many games have been released since Bounty Hunter first hit the shelves that have better graphics, more responsive AI, and bigger levels. In spite of the newer competition, Bounty Hunter still holds its own as one great game. Never easy, the game is structured well enough to allow conquering without a book, but nuanced and complicated enough to keep you rapt for weeks on end.
