Within the next few weeks, the world will finally see the finished product that is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash-Up, a new brawler-style fighting game from the good folks at Ubisoft. Our own Coop and Sarah have each had their own time with the game, and although their reactions were sort of mixed, they both agree that the idea does show potential. In a video released today from Ubisoft, the game's development team expounds on some of that potential.

It's more than a little encouraging that developers are starting to take online gaming on the Wii a little more seriously, as there has been no shortage of complaints about that system's failure to deliver on that front.  And it certainly looks like Ubi made sure to include enough multiplayer-specific content to ensure that gamers would want to play over and over again. From variable match types, to changing controller schemes, right down to the homemade trophies, Ubi seems intent on hammering home the idea of player customization for TMNT: SU. Plus, it's the Ninja Turtles. So there seems to be something for everyone. It will be out September 23rd.
