The last we heard about the still nameless third game from developer The Behemoth was a trailer that appeared to show off a pair of game modes, but didn't do much in the way of revealing, well, any solid information about the game. A new video added by the devs to YouTube today shows off one of what they assure us is many game modes. The video highlights "Soul Mode" (which we are told is not going to be its final name.

Soul Mode looks to be centered around competitive gameplay, with each cute-little-guy-thing attempting to collect and hold onto the souls of other cute-little-guy-things, using a variety of offensive and defensive weapons. Dan Paladin and Emil Ayoubkhan, two of the game's development team and the narrators of the video, go out of their way to mention that, like other Behemoth games, the third one will have a lot of customization options. Not only will you be able to change their weapons and heads, but players will also have the chance to modify their tiny little faces.

And if you're worried about never learning why that guy is so sad about that giant gem, fear not. Paladin and Ayoubkhan mention that the finished game will have an underlying story, which they promise will be "wonderful".
