Velvet Assassin Website Launches
Now with New Screenshots
by Sean
Gamecock Media launched the official website for the upcoming World War II thriller, once known as Sabotage, now named Velvet Assassin. The site includes the obligatory slideshow of screen shots, descriptions of in-game weapsons, as well as a trailer. You can also read the full details of the "Follow the Dream" treasure hunt, a real-life contest
But in keeping with the period, it also has a morse code translator, which allows you to type a message and have it translated into a series of dots and dashses. There is also an area on the site that hints at "Morphine Code: Through a series of flashbacks, relive the exploits of a renegade she-spy from World War II. Come back soon for a preview. . ."
If Gamecock plays their cards right, Velvet Assassin has the chance to be a really cool title. Looking at the various assets on velvetassassin.com one can quickly see that the game is going to be very stylized, with a stealth/sabotage mechanic that could be immensely fun to play. There's no hard and fast release date yet, just the vague promise of "winter".
