Warner Games' is slowly but surely rolling out the pre-release hype for the upcoming Mortal Kombat reboot. Normally with a game in development, a company opts to release a host of trailers in succession, culminating in a launch trailer the week before the game comes out. With MK, there seems to be a more plodding pace to the proceedings, with an origin trailer coming on average every three weeks or so. So far we've met everyone's favorite two ninjas, Sub-Zero and Scorpion, as well as the reveal of Kratos for the PS3 version. Today's entry gives us some background on Mileena, the psychotic doppleganger for Kitana.It's interesting to me that developer Neatherrealm Studios has decided to keep some of the characters' stories consistent with what has come before, while allowing some others to change up a little bit. Sub-Zero has already been revealed to be the younger brother of the one we met in the original game, but as you've just seen, Mileena's story stays the same. It's kind of a sad story too, when you think about the ramifications of being an inferior clone of a princess. That being said, it does look like Mileena is getting a fairly bad-assed fatality. Sticking sai in someone's feet before ripping their torso off of their waist is among the more difficult things to do. Believe me, I've tried.
