As Autumn gets into full swing, all of the games that I've been waiting all year for are finally starting to trickle onto store shelves. For this week, the only title that piques my interest is the Wii-exclusive Dead Space: Extraction. As an unabashed fan of the not only the original game, but also the comic, and, yes, even the badly made movie, I can't wait to find out more of the backstory of the Ishimura, the marker, and those cuddly necromorphs. If this game plays anything like the first one, chances are I'll only be able to play it for about an hour at a time, so there's going to be plenty of time for the other games on my rotation.

Next up is Madden 10 on my 360. I have two different franchises going, one online and one single-player, so I need to get some practice in. I'm also working my way through the Madden Moments, which are much more difficult this year than last, so that should provide some good times. I've also been playing NHL 10 on my PS3, which, as Veggie Jackson pointed out, shows marked improvement from last year's sports game of the year. I haven't quite figured out the new control wrinkles (the board play in particular is still a mystery to me), so the more time I can get in on it, the better.

If there's any time left over after these three, I plan to put some more of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune behind me. Having never played it all the way through, I am working slowly but surely on it, hoping to finish it up before the sequel comes out the second week of October. I think I can make it, that is unless the Stanley Cup Finals go to seven games. Then Nathan will just have to wait.
