When I saw that Capcom had released a new video for Dark Void, part of me was somewhat optimistic that it would feature Brad Pitt. Sure, it was only yesterday that the company announced that he would be playing the lead in the film adaptation of the unreleased game, but deep down inside, I had hope that the Hollywood mega-star would have had time to put together something to tantalize his fanbase. So it was somewhat disappointing to me to discover that the new trailer focuses on the game rather than the film, and specifically on the Watchers, the enemies players will be fighting in the universe of the game.

I'm kind of torn on how to feel about Dark Void. The idea sounds interesting enough, in that unlocking third person action from the bounds of gravity could be super fantastic. However a lot of the videos that have come out make that mechanic look like an overused gimmick rather than an innovative game concept. Also, the Watchers look suspiciously like the Drej from Titan A.E., which doesn't in and of itself mean that the game won't be good, but it was worth mentioning.
