As I've pointed out in the past, I'm cheap. Paid DLC, extra peripherals and collector's editions are really for other people. This usually extends to Avatar items as well. Granted, I have been known to throw a few MS points out there to dress up my 360 doppelgänger (right now he looks like Isaac Clarke), but I don't get overly excited for each and every pop culture reference that ends up getting added to the Marketplace. However, every once in a while something gets added that piques my interest. Today is one of those days, as there are now a handful of Muppet-themed items available for download for your XBL Avatar.

Ranging in price from 80-320, the nearly two dozen new additions include outfits as well as accessories that will once and for all prove to all of your Xbox friends how much Jim Henson's creations have influenced you into becoming the full-grown stunted child we all know you to be. Honestly, childhood without the Muppets is like the beach without sand; you can't have one without the other. From the Great Gonzo's suit, to Kermit's iconic banjo, to a remote controlled flying pie, to the Dr. Bunsen Honeydew's laboratory, there's just so much to choose from. If you don't feel like throwing on full Muppet costumes, you can always pick up the Miss Piggy or Kermit the Frog t-shirts. While I'm loathe to part ways with my Ishimura engineering suit, I can't help but think that before the sun rises tomorrow morning, I will be wearing my full Fozzie suit and throwing pies and anyone who crosses my path.
