Xbox Live Cutting Prices on Select Titles
Leave the "S" Off of "DLC" for "Savings"
by Sean
There must be something in the air over at Redmond. First there's the $50 savings on the 360s, which go into effect today. Microsoft is calling it "Extended Play Download Days", but you and I would know it better as a sale. From now until the end of October, a small handful of games and add-ons (and an overabundance of Katamari content) have been discounted. Save up to 60% on DLC for Guitar Hero, Obliviion, Mass Effect, and more.
It seems to me to be a fairly random list of game content to put on sale, but I guess that's why I'm not in retail anymore. I just don't know what the people want. So if you've been lusting after the Accessory Set D for Beautiful Katamari, but just couldn't part with the 200
, then today is the day for you!

does seem like a very random list of games.. but maybe thats to appeal to a wide range of people.. I wonder if Microsoft has figured out they only really have 2 blockbuster games this year so they better boost sales elsewhere.. sorry my sony fanboy side just came out :)
Hope those three people looking forward to Beautiful Katamari DLC are happy.
Only 2 blockbuster games?
Gears 2, Left 4 Dead, Fallout 3, Dead Space, (I know the last two aren't exclusive, but still). Not to mention the GTA IV DLC... Fanboyism is all well and good, but let's not be ridiculous!
Sean, i meant exclusive games, forgive me..
A few of those I had just downloaded recently. :(
Hmm. I knew that as soon as I got my ethernet hooked up, I'd be hitting the online store for some downloadables (I'm the last person in the world to get Braid, oh woe). Seems like I might as well buckle and get the Mass Effect DLC while I'm at it.
