Gamers who can't wait until early January to play Bayonetta, or those who missed last night's PlayStation Store Update can now download a demo for the witch simulator from the Xbox Live Arcade. Odds are the level that is unlocked is the same that has been playable at various expos and conferences for some time, with the titular shapeshifting character fighting off waves of dog-faced angels. That's not some kind of vague insult aimed at calling the angels ugly - they acutally have the faces of canines.

Interestingly, the demo comes in at 769MB, as opposed to the PS3 version, which is 1.63GB. I would be more than a little surprised if somehow the two systems ended up with different demos, and so I'm left wondering why exactly the 360's requires nearly half the memory space of its PS3 counterpart. I'm sure it has something to do with compression, or possibly that the PS3 demo is running at a full 1080i, with the 360's coming in at 720p. Either way, if you've been looking forward to trying out Sega's evil little minx, now's your chance, no matter what system you prefer.
