Do you like interactive cutscenes?
What's that? It's an X. Oh crap...

I finally finished Resident Evil 5 this weekend, while I enjoyed the game I was often frustrated by the interactive cutscenes.
All too often I'd put the controller down to enjoy the cutscene only to see a button appear and watch my character die a horrible death. It doesn't bother me if it happens outside of cutscenes and it is part of the gameplay though.
I felt like whenever a cutscene occurred, I needed to watch the bottom of the screen and wasn't able to enjoy it. So, do you like interactive cutscenes since they keep you on your toes or are they just cheap ass deaths?

not a huge fan, if they involve insane button mashing, as was the case with RE5.
I, too, like to sit back and enjoy the cutscenes, and I feel like the gaming experience is cheated in a way with that type of cutscene.
I remember that Uncharted threw them in so infrequently that every time it happened, it felt out of place.
If you'd played as much RE4 as I have, you would have known that a cut-scene can turn into a mini-game at the drop of a hat. Always keep the controller ready!
That happened to me in RE5 too... more than once. I thought it kept things interesting, though.
If they're in the game, and they make sense, they're okay to me. Otherwise they can bite my ass.
@Sean: Your avatar killed me like 80x. I played RE4(on the cube even) so the first event brought these feelings back in a flash. So even though I tried to be in the prepared state, I hated having to be that way.
When they make sense. The fight versus Krauser was great. The rest? It was meh.
Yeah I sort of disliked how RE5 threw them so sporadically.
I did kind of chuckle when something would happen and I would find myself trying to make sure my hands were properly placed to access every button easily.
But overall, as Tim said with Uncharted, they just felt random. And not in a positive way.
Nice to know I'm not alone.
@J-Man: Yeah, that was a good use of it. Forgot about that one.
