The A$$HOLES of Xbox Live
Some people should never be given a mic.
by Suavy
Xbox Live a great invention with a great idea: create a social network where gamers can play each other from around the world and socialize. wait, socialize. it's the year 2008 now. socialize in this day in age with people you've never met usually boils down to: insult, insult, your mom joke, insult. it's rediculous. I can't even begin to tell you how many times i've heard people say fuck (if your offended that I used the word fuck, well shit you probably don't have Xbox live and a damn microphone). I can't even begin to tell you how many people yell racial slurs at each other. it's pathetic how these people are.
Im losing all faith in people.
True, there are a lot of gamers that I get along with and are a lot of fun to play with. but for the most part, I never use my microphone and recently discovered how nice it is to turn it off. I have met some of the cockiest, ignorant, stupid, and mean people alive while playing online. for no reason at all a little kid will start talking, not saying anything bad just saying where an enemy is or saying hi. Immediately people of all ages, some full grown adults, start saying some of the most terrible things to this poor little kid simply becuase he has a squeaky voice. I suffered the same fate as this young lad when I first got Xbox Live. then some people need to make themselves feel superior to everyone else on the planet by letting you know that you just got totally 'raped" (no they didn't my behind feels fine). an example would be one guy in a free for all match (Call of Duty 4) who after killing someone would explain to them how stupid they are or how bad their tactics are, follewed by being called a pussy. Well after beating him and returning the favor, he went bullistic (mind I tell you this guy had to be probably like 35 years old).

It's not just xbox live, its everywhere people get behind a computer and feel the power of the keyboard. Go on any youtube video and look at the comments. by the 10th comment, it's just a bunch of people argueing. If you belong to a board (i belong to IGN's) then you probably know vicious people can be and how they can contridict you. Even if your totally factually right, it comes down to "F U your wrong, Im right!"
I just dont get it. Why are people so crazy as soon as they put on the headset? they don't need to be this way and Im sure that they'd never be this way in real life. Just think before you speak next game. Set an example and be civilized and human. People need to remember there's another person behind that mic (not to get all happy/love/peace on you), I just want to enjoy my games better and have a good time. Don't be an asshole of Xbox Live.

I really hate some people on XBL they should learn some manners....and to aid you in your posting efforts; you can embed the videos with the help of the HTML button right next to links and where you add your pics in....just copy and paste it into the HTML and you should be all good....
This is why I don't get into games with people I don't know on Xbox Live. Just too damn aggravating.
That's why I never play multiplayer anymore.
