Death Puck
The Lucifer Game Studio today finally released Death Puck (something us chaps in the ULOT Clan have been testing on and off for a while) - We find it rather entertaining!
"Death Puck is a 'blood sport' version of Air Hockey, set in a twisted corporate near future ' Death Puck ' is the most popular sport in the world – 'Puckers' are idolised as near God like figures for their cat like reactions and perceived strengths on the table of honour.
The tables however, are as dangerous as they are honourable; glass shards fly at players when goals are scored against them, a tradition in the game to have panes of brittle glass between you and the table.
Cheating and sabotaging of both pucks and paddles is common place and indeed encouraged by the Syndicate Holocast Network which run most of the top end tournaments. This isn't just air hockey...
This is life and death; live on Holocast!"

Looking at the way the gaming world has evolved it'd be pretty stupid to lump all modern “Gamers” into the historical stereotype of nerdy, single, over- or under-weight guys with nothing better to do than perhaps play the odd game of tabletop Dungeons & Dragons and lay the smack down on Doom for several weeks with other local geeks and a self-organised LAN party – but this is exactly how wider industry and commerce have been categorising the gaming community right up until very recently indeed.Wed, 06 February 2008 09:42AM3 Comments
