Life Size Mouse Trap Is Coming To Maker Faire
It's A Zany Action, A Crazy Contraption

I've never understood Mouse Trap the board game. Granted, I was more of a Monopoly, Clue and Don't Break The Ice kind of kid with a side of Play-Doh. Why in the world would anyone need such a complex setup to catch a mouse? At least that's how I remember the game going at one of many sleepless slumber parties. Anyway, it appears that a life size replica of the famed Mouse Trap Rube Goldberg machine is heading East towards the Detroit and New York Maker Faires.
I wasn't all too convinced until I saw the bathtub. It's true. There totally was a bathtub. But while I should feel a tiny bit of nostalgia, seeing this thing to scale has really made me think about the cruelty we teach young children. I mean, I used to think household mousetraps were pretty cruel, but this giant torture contraption is beyond. We should all be ashamed of ourselves. However, the person who should be the most ashamed is the jerk that wrote the jingle. It's so totally stuck in my head.
All in all, maybe I should have been more of a Mouse Trap kind of girl to appreciate this random act of rodent extermination to its fullest. In all honesty, it just reminds me of how much I'd rather play Hungry Hungry Hippos. Oh, and yo, Life Size Mouse Trap. I'm really happy for you and Imma let you finish, but OK Go made one of the best Rube Goldberg machines of all time!

Ok, let's be clear here. The Mousetrap is, undoubtedly, cool. However, the blue haired clown man who runs around the whole video as the bowling ball lethargically makes its way down the ramp is, in a word, annoying. In two words, horrifically annoying. In more words, enough to make me not want to watch again.
