The Latest Addition To The BLU Stop Motion Collection

Big Bang Big Boom!

Series The Daily Dairy

It is no surprise that I have a sick obsession with stop motion. Did I mention that before? I'm sure I've mentioned that before. And I most definitely have mentioned the super group BLU before because they are the stop motion masters and this world is their canvas that the rest of us just so happen to coexist on. After endless amounts of jaw-dropping displays of moving street art over the past couple of years, they have released yet another spectacle for us all to enjoy, covering the ornamented history of our existence a la the Big Bang theory (not to be confused with that show with Darlene's boyfriend).

And my love for science just exploded into a ton of paint and charcoal figures that crawled up my wall and out the window. I will say, of the entire BLU series, this isn't my absolute favorite. I'm not really sure if it's the most impressive upfront, but considering its time length of 9:54, it kind of takes the cake. Granted, I'm not really sure how many frames per second the BLU group uses, but let's say it was at least 12 (film is usually 24 fps). That would be 594 seconds multiplied by 12 frames which equals to 7,128 variations of drawings, paintings and movements in objects to complete nearly 10 minutes of video. Yeah, think about that for a second.

Eep. This is starting to have the same effect on me as a night stargazing a clear sky. Like space, the work here seems endless and if I don't distract myself quick, I will be consumed with the kind of agoraphobia that kept me locked in the house after the last meteor shower I watched. Quick, BLU! Show me more videos! Distract me!

Ahhhh, that feels better.
