Today, Americans celebrate 234 years of "freedom" by setting off fireworks in unsafe conditions, stuffing their faces with hot dogs, unintentionally getting covered in poison ivy and drinking beer like they're getting paid to do it. And while I have yet to see an Independence Day nearly as epic as Independence Day (or any other average day for that matter), I plan on partaking in the events full throttle with sparklers and loud rock music all while passionately and patriotically itching all of these damn bug bites that I have acquired on one single foot.
