My 360 is in for repairs, and all I have left to game on is a cardboard box with "Supercomputer" written on the side with a Sharpie. It's amazing.
I stepped away from RTS' a long time ago. Dawn of War was the last of the genre to keep my attention, until I grew bored of it. I might have ADD, or something, but I played it a lot, and it was fantastic. Imperial Guard > Your face.
Now, I had heard about World in Conflict. It's been out a while, and such. I didn't pay attention to it, until I grew bored and downloaded the demo out of spite one night.
Oh man oh man. It's like...
...explosives porn. Like Soldier of Fortune is to gun porn, World in Conflict is explosives porn. The resource gathering is gone, and it is straight up boom boom. It's like someone rubbed my nipples and blew up C4 right out my window. The radio gives you a billion different ways to blow crap up, and the demo mission ends with you command a series of battlecruiser guns, and this may possibly be the greatest way to end a mission, ever. I haven't had this much fun fighting the fun fight since last night when I was piloting a Little Bird and mowing down African Rebels in a modded Operation Flashpoint.
I will prolly end up buying this and give a fuller review when I can. However, I am very lazy, and you should hire me and give me money to buy games to review because I'm just that awesome.
As long as the deadlines are loose and I can rate games for how fun they are, not some absurd category point jibber jabber.
I give the World in Conflict demo a 8 out of 10, only because I heard rumors you could control individual units and that's the greatest idea ever since the printing press.
That's how much I hate point scales. I'd rather just tell you, that it's worth buying, and here's why, and here's some issues you might have with it but probably won't care because it doesn't really matter.
