We all know that sexism is prevalent on xbox live. A bunch of mentally under-aged and physically under-touched boys under the cloak of anonymity is a recipe for all sorts of negative things, so i don't expect this blog will be especially enlightening. I just want to get something off my chest.

 My friend, Emma, invited me into a Nazi Zombies lobby on Black Ops this afternoon. It was me, her, and two strangers, and we did all right up until the 9th round, when Emma made a bit of a mistake which set in motion a chain of events which caused each of us to perish under the weight of the goose-stepping hoardes.

I thought we did rather well, but one of the party members had a different opinion. It turns out he had a pack a punched crossbow and was very close to unlocking an achievement. He must have really wanted the achievement, because he said a whole bunch of mean-spirited things, culminating in "girls suck at Zombies".

He stormed off before anyone could say anything, but i think that this needs saying, xbox user Walter Cooler.

Just because one girl wasn't quite up to your high standard of play doesn't mean that "girls suck at Zombies".

When you make a claim like that, it just makes you seem like a sexist, chauvinistic pig that considers girls to be terrible gamers in general, which in my experience couldn't be further from the truth - some people are good at certain types of games, and other people are good at other types of games.

I mean, my girlfriend isn't especially great at Nazi Zombies either. I routinely double her personal score and carry her through the rounds... but she kicks my ass at Cooking Mama every single time.

The sexist attitudes of people like Walter are ruining the xbox live experience for many women. Please be conscientious of this in the future.
