*UPDATED* 250GB Xbox 360 Appears on Amazon Germany
And Then Disappears

We have no confirmation from anyone that this is in any way real, butup until a minute ago, Amazon’s German site is listing a new Xbox 360 bundle that includes two wireless controllers, a copy of Forza Motorsport 3, and a 250GB hard drive. The bundle was listed at €280, but has been removed from the site.
We might not take this quite so seriously if it weren’t for the fact that Amazon.de was also the first major retailer to list the PS3 Slim. Forza 3 isn’t due out until at least October 23, the European release date, so this was likely a very early listing, meaning that the alleged 250GB Xbox 360 could launch any time between now and then. Of course, this could also be completely false, and have no basis in reality, but somehow I doubt it. With more and more games being made available through Xbox Live’s Games on Demand, and the Xbox Live dashboard’s improved game installation system, now seems like a perfect time to introduce a jumbo-sized hard drive. We’ll keep you updated on this rumor when any new info arises.
*UPDATE* - It appears the 250GB Xbox 360 rumor has gained a bit more credibility due to an ad from South African retailer, BT Games. The ad shows the 250GB version, dubbed the "Super Elite," complete with 2 wireless controllers. As if the console wars weren't heated enough, BT Games also offers a sizable discount for customers who trade in their PlayStation 2 Slim. Swapping a PS2 will knock the price down from 4699.95 bits of string to 4199.95.
It's looking more and more like this new Super Elite will become a reality. We expect an announcement soon.

Bad, bad call. Don't do it, MS, you don't want to have the most expensive console again. You really don't.
250GB sounds like overkill, of course if I had it, it probably wouldn't be nearly enough.
